Enhance Fitness is a proven community-based senior fitness and arthritis management program. It helps older adults become more active, energized and empowered for independent living. EhanceFitness has been nationally recognized by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, US Department of Health and Human Services, and the National Council on Aging.
EnhanceFitness welcomes older adults at all fitness levels. The exercises focus on cardiovascular endurance, strength, flexibilty and balance which can help reduce the severity of arthritis symptoms. In addition, the class atmosphere encourages social interaction, which is a vital part of health and well-being for older adults.
Classes will meet 3 days per week and participants will be assessed when they start, and at the end of 16 weeks. This class will be offered at no charge with your Y membership. Scholarship memberships are available for those needing assistance.
Moving With Parkinson's
For people battling Parkinson's, exercise is a vital component to maintaining balance, mobility and the activities of daily life. Moving with Parkinson's is a Parkinson's Disease specific group exercise class that helps teach how to move bigger, and faster in everyday life to counteract Parkinson's Disease symptoms. Improve your quality of life with guided group fitness programs, led by certified instructors, designed to enhance the welfare and well-being of people with Parkinson's.
Quality of Life assessments are provided quarterly.
Classes will meet 1 day per week and participants will be assessed when they start. This class will be offered at no charge with your Y membership, or for $10 per class for Program Participants. Scholarship memberships are available for those needing assistance.
Diabetes Prevention Program
Class will be held in the YMCA conference room beginning Monday, February 3 5:30-6:30pm. This class is free for members or $430 for Program Participants. Scholarships are available.
